The Bowlander is back for 2025! Following the success of 2024, we are proud to launch this years event aimed at Scouts (10.5-14). As usual, the event will be split into 3 parts which Troops are invited to attend as their needs dictate. You can participate in either or both of the training sessions, or just enter the event having organised your own training.

The Bowlander is aimed at all Scouts who have a reasonable level of walking & navigation skills, or holding their Navigation Badge Stage 3. However, if Leaders wish to give younger Scouts an opportunity to take part that is fine providing some members of the team have a higher level of competence to offer peer to peer learning. Training Days:
This years Training Day will take place at Waddecar Scout Activity Centre on the 8th February, 10am – 3pm. Comprising of navigation exercises around the local area to Waddecar, with guidance and support from the Bowlander Organising Committee.
Participant cost: £5pp (Self Catered)
This form should be submitted by Thursday, 13th February 2025.

Training Weekends:
This years Training weekend will take place at Waddecar Scout Activity Centre on the 8th – 9th March.
Young person cost: £15pp (self catered)
Leader cost: £15pp* (fully catered)
As in the past, we will be offering Leaders the opportunity to be fully catered for over the Training Weekend. So you can concentrate on supporting young people and the event. Food will be provided Saturday tea (bring your own lunch for Saturday), Sunday breakfast and Sunday lunch (stuff to make your own butties) with brews whenever you want!
*The cost of catering also includes camp fees.

Bowlander 2025:
This years Bowlander competition will be held on the 5th-6th April and will take place at Waddecar Scout Activity Centre.
